You want to visit Tahiti?
Here's some facts you should know. It's about 4,813 miles from Seattle to Papeete, the capital of Tahiti or French Polynesia. If you fly it will take about
14 or more hours going first from Seattle to LA and then LA to Tahiti.

Tahiti is a polynesian island whose people traveled by canoe. Most archeologist and linguist believe that the first people to arrive on the islands of Tahiti probably came through Samoa. Tahitians would continue on and voyage and settle to the other island groups, including
Rarotonga (Cook Islands), the Tuamotu islands, the Marquesas and eventually
Hawaii. Skilled sailors, warriors and tribal people whose language, culture and
traditions live on in their people today.

On February 15, 2014 at the Tacoma Dome/Exhibition Hall, the people and community of Tahiti who make Washington their new home will take center stage and share their culture, language, music, dances and food as they host the annual APCC Asia Paific New Year Celebration 2014.
