Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) is proud to welcome an extraordinary international exhibition that demonstrates the power of art to transcend borders, languages, and cultures.

From August 1–31, 2026, APCC will host the 2nd IOI International Organization of Arts Exhibition, Global Nexus, featuring artists from China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Sweden, and the United States.

The public is also invited to a special Opening Reception on Saturday, August 8, from 4:00–7:00 p.m., where guests can meet fellow art enthusiasts, celebrate international creativity, and experience this remarkable exhibition firsthand.

Art Without Borders

The exhibition's theme, Global Nexus, reflects the universal idea that creativity connects people regardless of nationality or language. Organized by the International Organization of Arts (IOI), the exhibition promotes international collaboration through art and craft, encouraging cultural exchange, creativity, and mutual understanding. Hosted in the United States with the support of APCC, Global Nexus showcases how artistic expression can build bridges between communities around the world.

Visitors will experience a diverse collection of contemporary and traditional works spanning painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, printmaking, fiber art, fashion, mixed media, and handcrafted paper art. Each artist offers a unique cultural perspective while contributing to a shared conversation about identity, heritage, nature, innovation, and human connection.

Celebrating the Beauty of Hanji

One of the exhibition's defining features is its celebration of Hanji, Korea's traditional handmade paper. Renowned for its remarkable strength, beauty, and versatility, Hanji has been treasured for centuries by artists and craftspeople.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors will discover how artists from different countries incorporate Hanji into their own artistic practices. Traditional techniques blend seamlessly with contemporary design, resulting in works that are both culturally rooted and globally inspired.
