December 10, 2022. The rain did not stop Team APCC from participating and winning an award at this year’s parade in Lakewood. The award honors and recognizes APCC as an organization that works hard to be part of the community with its many services and events. We had a very festive float with Ms. Washington on board, followed by our cultural group of walkers greeting all the families on the parade route.
We are proud to have this award and a BIG THANK YOU to our hard-working Cultural team and volunteers as we continue with our mission.
The event was filled with a line of beautifully decorated floats and entertainment for the whole family. There were many smiles and excited faces from the participants and people lined up watching the parade. Santa and Mrs. Clause were there to complete the parade and interact with the kids, not to be undone, the Grinch showed up too, thankfully in his merry self and all the toys were safe.
